Frances Cassandra! Congratulations! I have tweeted you and look forward to hearing from you!

NOTD : MUA Love Hearts Collection, LOVE U 24/7

This lovely nail varnish is another item from MUA's Love Hearts range. I was lucky enough to receive two of their nail varnishes, unfortunately one of them arrived damaged. I have checked their website and the terms state that if an item is received damaged they will refund it in full along with the postage costs.

Deformed U ROK, shame as its such a pretty shade.

LOVE U 24/7, again such a pretty shade.

One coat of LOVE U 24/7, almost opaque just a few streaks.

Two coats of LOVE U 24/7, perfect.

The nail varnish dries quickly and applies well. I've worn it all day in work today and it has stayed put, this may not seem like much to most but for me this is quite impressive. I type with my nails so almost always have tip wear after a day in the office.

The full range

The MUA Love Heart nail collection comes in six different shades and is available in Superdrug stores or on-line from MUA Store. MUA Store are running a free delivery promotion (UK only) today to celebrate reaching 15,000 likes on facebook, you can view the details of that here.

These nail varnishes cost just £2.

PS. Apologies for the terrible state of my nails.

*Disclaimer : MUA kindly provided me with these nail varnishes for review purposes. Despite this all opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own.*

Week in Photos #51

Hi all :) Sorry this is a day late, Wales won the Triple Crown (rugby) on Saturday which resulted in me suffering a mystery illness yesterday....

Spencer and I went for a walk in Blaenavon last Sunday, we drove up to the Keeper's pond and walked from there. It was beautiful and I managed to get some really good shots, all dumped at the end of this post.

We worked up an appetite walking so ordered a Domino's when we got home, one of many reasons that I'll never be skinny. Kitty wanted our pizza.

We bought a new bookcase, we replaced the small one on the left with this taller one on the right. It looks a lot better.

I took this pancake photo for the firms Twitter on pancake day. I was quite pleased with it so thought I'd put it on here. I ate quite a few of these after taking the photo.

We decided to have savoury pancakes for tea for a change. We had peppers, onions, chorizo, tomatoes and some sort of cheese slice things with ham in on the top. They were delicious.

I hit the huge milestone of 400 followers! So chuffed! Thank you all so much!

It was Spencer's birthday on Wednesday, I had this amazing cake made for him, we were so pleased with it.

I made him birthday breakfast. I'm not really that fussed on traditional breakfasts so replaced the beans with feta cheese and peppers on mine, so much nicer than his!

I booked us on a tour of the Millennium Stadium for Spencer's birthday. We both thoroughly enjoyed it, it was a great experience and I really recommend it.

We went to Cafe Rouge for lunch after the Stadium tour. Yum.

Spencer met me on my lunch break on Thursday and we went to the local pub for food. Steak was on the specials board so we had steak for lunch for the second day running. Again, yum.

Its my niece's 3rd birthday today, they had a little party on Saturday which I went to before going to Cardiff with the girls. Her nan had this amazing cake made, the kids loved it.

Me and the girls in Tiger Tiger on Saturday.

The cats have really enjoyed the spring like weather that we had this weekend.

I'll leave you with a few of my favourite photos from our Keeper's walk...

I hope you've had a good week :)

Week in Post #28

I didn't post my week in post last week as I didn't receive a lot of post, therefore the title of this post is actually a bit of a fib, it should really be a fortnight in post...

 Products to review from Shielo.

RAK goodies, you can read about those here.

T-shirt from Orange Circle, I ordered this last Thursday evening (16th) and received it yesterday (24th). The t-shirts are made to order which is why it took a little while to arrive. I ordered a ladies large, its a little tigher than I'd expected but I'm pleased with it, next time I think I'll try a man's size.

February GlossyBox, you can read my post on that here.

February JolieBox, you can read my review on that here.

January Carmine box - I was lucky enough to win this in Dawnie's giveaway, thank you! I'll review it shortly.

So, this week has mainly consisted of beauty boxes! Its been an exciting week in post related goings on.

Review : Rockalily Lipstick in ZOMG

Zoe of The London Lipgloss, what a woman. She works, she blogs, she attends loads of events, she DJs and now she has collaborated with Ree Ree of Rockalily to create her own lipstick! I'm beginning to wonder if she really is human.... (joke).

Zoe and Ree Ree
This lipstick is described by Zoe as the perfect fuchsia pink "It's red toned enough to suit darker skinned girls but also blue toned enough to suit pale girls. It'll make your teeth look whiter, will last all night long and is so pigmented you'll hardly believe your eyes." Big claims.

I love the packaging, the box is really very me with its black leopard print and pink flowers. The lipstick itself is kept nice and simple.

I love how this lipstick looks on me. The swatch appears a lot darker than it does on my lips. I must agree that my teeth do actually look whiter too. Love.

I wore my lipstick when I went out for a three course meal, I ate loads and drank a bit. I didn't re-apply throughout the night. The lipstick had faded a little when I got home but it was still intact, and my lips weren't horrifically dry as they often are after wearing lipstick all night. As far as I'm concerned those big claims above are pretty much spot on.

The only downside for me with this lipstick is the price, its priced at £14 + £2.50 shipping. £16.50 for a lipstick is a lot for me, before I started this blog I only ever bought 'drug store' make-up and I'm still not used to spending a lot on lipstick. This aside I do want to own more Rockalily lipsticks, this is by far one of the best lipsticks that I have ever owned. I think I may have been converted! My bank manager won't be thankful!

You can buy ZOMG here for £14 plus P&P.

Have you tried ZOMG or any other lipsticks from Rockalily?

*Disclaimer : This lipstick was purchased with my own money. The fact that I get along with and admire Zoe has not swayed my review, my opinions are, as always, 100% honest.*
